23. Reflection paragraph on sources
In the sources that i used to create my blogs for Mrs. Amy Elliot class i found them very helpful. The sources that i used help me discover why cell phones are banned in school. Why are they illegal. Should they illegal? Others opinions about the topic choice, and the rules of cell phone usage inside of the school building. I was very successful in finding sources, that were good enough to support my topic, and get me good ang revelant information. The source to me that i felt was most useful was from schargle. The reason why i felt that this website was most helpful was because it gave me a list of pros and cons about should celluar devices be used in school. This website really helped me with my topic because it gave me alot of details to help support my subject. The website that i felt was most trustworthy was from schargle, because its form Eyes on Education ,and thats a websites about education that helps support school based things. The one that i felt was bias was from newsvine because he's talking about the things that are going on at school, so thats his opinoins, and thats how he feel that other schools schould be to.

21. Reflection paragraph on process
For my reflection on the topic that i have chosen would be how i felt. The way that i felt while i was doing my research was that the information that i looked up made allot of since, and the information was up to date with the topic. The level of difficulty was easy, finding my information was an easy job or task to complete. Looking up my information was easy but finding a graph, map, or chart to go with my subject was one of the difficult parts. The things that i did that i enjoyed most was the wordle creations, and animoto comerical. The task that i completed that i disliked was the quote paraphrase, and citations that we had to complete. If i had to complete this type of project again, the things that i would do to make it different would be to change the topic. I don't disagree on the topic that i have chosen but there are other topics that stand out to me that i would like to do research on.
19. Reflection paragraph on findings
In my research i found out about how different schools handle different cell phone violations problems. When ever your cell phones are taken away you are to give them up quick without hesitation. If you refuse to give up your cell phone there will we consequences. The consequences will result in phone taken until parent or legal guardian comes get it, and a day of ISS. I also learned that cell phones are no considered bad at all times, they could be used to help collect data when you are on field trips. There also are disadvantages of cell phones they can be used to promote fights and to record them to get put on YouTube. Also said to be that cell phones are used to encourage cheating, or texting answers to other students to help promote cheating. Also the high tech phones that has Internet can be used to go to google or another search engine to get answers to problems. The most important facts that i have learned are that cell phones can be used to promote cheating, and cheating is not a good choice because of the consequences. The questions that i still have is, are cell phone going to be allowed to be used in the hallways and at brake without being tooken. Now that i under stand the consequences and pros and cons of cell phones usage i feel better about my subject now.

18. Finding Paragraph #3
Can cell phones be used to help education
In these three paragraph bellow it talks about how cell phones could be used as a good way of education, like taking the =m on field trips to collect data.
"First, let me say that the average cell phone today has more computing power than many of the computers a few years ago. In addition, such devices come equipped with video recorder and player, camera, etc. All of these features could be used to improve learning.
Imagine a student on a field trip who is able to take photos for a project using a cell phone or collect data using an application on the phone. And then the data can be synchronized back to the server over a wireless link.
There are all kinds of applications that could be useful for learning, and we really need the help of our students in defining the best applications from their point of view. "

17. Finding a paragraph #2
2. Why cant cell phones be legal in the hallways and at brake.
In these bullets bellow it talks about all the places that cell phones are allowed and permitted at.
"You may use the cell phone to and from the buses only.
b. No visibility, sound, or use of any kind at any other times or after you enter the building: not in the library, classrooms, offices, halls, cafeteria, gym or computer labs regardless of the time of day.
e. It may not be hanging on a belt or backpack or visible in any way.
f. It must be turned OFF, not on “silent” or “vibrate” and may not ring or vibrate or produce any alarm or sound.
g. You may not be texting in your pocket or purse or underneath clothing or books.
h. You may not use it to check the time. Get a watch!
i. If the phone is turned off (not “silent” or “vibrate”), the phone will not be confiscated during an unrelated or random search.
j. You may use your phone in a safe way (no profanity, threats, name-calling) at after-school activities if sponsor permits."

16. Finding paragraph #1
1. Why do you have to get OSS after the 1st offense instead of ISS.
In this paragraph below me it talks about what happens if you are caught using your cell phone when you are not supposed to.
"School personnel, such as teachers, security, or administrators, will direct you to hand over the phone. It is to be handed over immediately without hesitation or argument. There are no negotiations; the student is not allowed to put it away at that point, it is too late. As long as you hand over the phone when first asked, there is no disciplinary action at all."'It is returned only to your parent/guardian, & only the school day after it is taken."

15. Quote paraphrase, and ciatation #5
Cell phones can also be used in illegal activities, which makes the presence of mobile devices in school a really scary thought. Cell phones can be utilized for something small, like organizing a school yard fight, to something downright scary like drug deals and terrorist attacks. This is the reality everyone has to face in the presence of cell phones in class rooms.
In the paragraph above Disadvantages of Mobile Phones in school Kristina Dems explains that cell phones has advantages as well as disadvantages. Dems summarizes that cellular devices can be used to promote school yard fights, to make drug deals, and terrorist attacks. This paragraph is to be said because theses are some examples of things that can happen if cell phones are allowed in school.
14. Quote, paraphase, and citation #4
"Should cell phones be allowed in school? The simple answer is yes, but with limitations. It is obvious that mobile phones can be great tools in learning and connecting, but only if we keep the destructive potential in check. School administrators should enter into an agreement with teachers, parents and students about limited cell phone use. This could mean students are not allowed to use cell phones while classes are going on unless their teacher says otherwise. All parties involved should talk about what works for them and what doesn't. It's time to have an open conversation about this new type of communication. Times are changing."
In the paragraph above Mobile phones in school Kristina Dems defines that cell phones should be used in school but with limits. Dems provides us with information about her decision by saying that phones shouldn't be used in class unless direct by a teacher to do other wise. The importance of this is so that phones could be able to have in school but b able to follow the rules while having them.

13. Graph/chart/map and citation
This schows the percents of students that has acces to mobile devices in the school. This picture relates to my topic by showing the amount of students that use celluar devices in the schoo.
12. Quote, paraphase, and citation # 3
"Cell phones can also facilitate cheating. Common Sense Media found that two-thirds of students surveyed claimed that their classmates used cell phones to cheat on coursework, while one-third said they themselves had done so. Armed with high-tech phones, students can browse the Internet and ask their friends for answers to test questions, or store information to give their friends later on."
In the text above Should cell phones be allowed in school (The Cons) Eyes on Education is talking about the way cell phones could be used to cheat. Eyes on Publication defines his subject by stating that using cellular devices during test are considered cheating, also using the Internet on the high tech phones are used for Internet to get answers for the test;also used to ask other friend answers. This is very important because some people or students can get Internet on their phone and use their Internet to get answers from google.com or other websites.

11. Photo, citation, and citation 3
This is showing how even though cell phones are used thought school they are to be a bad idea. Instead in the 2nd picture it show that cell phone are not a bad ideal at all they can enhance learning instead of interrupting it.
10. Quote, paraphase, and citation
"But they’re distracting. Even if their phones are on silent, students can text and go online during class. Educators opposed to allowing cell phones in schools also cite cyber-bullying, the use of phones and other technology to harass peers, as a reason to leave them at home."
In the paragraph above Should cell phones be allowed in school ( The Cons) Eye on Education argues that cell phones can be a distraction to the students. Eye on Education provides information by saying that even though cell phones are on silent kids call still read text and sneak on the Internet; also for cyber bulling. Third this is important because in the world there are types of bullying all over and different types of it, and cyber bulling is one of the ways.

8. Quote,Paraphase, and citation # 1
"Let us not forget that mobile devices do have a lot of positive uses in a school environment. Cell phones can serve as a connection between students and their parents. Taking photos of class presentations or projects and sending them to their parents will give students the affirmation they deserve even if they're not physically with their parents.
Sharing notes with classmates can be easier too with mobile technology present. Missed assignments and notes will be a thing of the past. Communicating with classmates with the help of cell phones can increase productivity and can foster a collaborative environment. The multimedia content that can be accessed through cell phones can also help students relax if they use it outside class hours. For every reason to keep a student from bringing a cell phone to school, there's an equally logical reason to believe that bringing a cell phone to school is a wise idea."
In the passage above Advantages of Mobile Phones in school Kristina Dems reports that cell phones in schools not only has disadvantages, they have advantages to. Dems interprets that hones are good to be used to take pictures of class projects and grades. Also to communicate with other classmates . It helps students relax when ever they are in outside class hours. Third this is important because it is good for students to be stress free and relax outside of class hours.

3. What i want to know about my topic
Things i want to know about cell phones
- Why can't the students get their phone back at the end of the class period .
- Why do you have to get OSS after the 1st offense instead of ISS.
- Why does your parents have to come get your cell phone after it gets taken.
- Why cant cell phones be legal in the hallways and at brake.
- Cell phones should be able to be used at the first 5 minutes and last 5 minutes of class.
- Can cell phones be used for education to.
2. What i already know about my topic
I know that cell phones or cellular devises are supposed to be turned off and be put out of sight soon as we (the students) get into the building. We can't turn our cell phones back on until we are dismissed from school. I understand the rules that are supposed to be followed by cell phones but why do we have to follow that rule? I feel that this rule should not be Putin place.
Offenses
- Take cell phones, and has to be picked up by the parents.
- Take cell phones, and has to be picked up by the parents, 1 day OSS
- Take cell phones, and has to be picked up by the parents, 2 days OSS
- Take cell phones, and has to be picked up by the parents, 3 days OSS
- Take cell phones, and has to be picked up by the parents, 5 days OSS, and Evidentary Hearing
When ever you get your cell phones taken you can't get it back until your parent come get it back at 3:20.
1. The story behind my topic choice
One day when I was in the lunch room right after testing. I had on a dress that day, so i had my phone in my hand. Dr. Davis walked by and told me to give up my phone or get suspended. When i tried to tell her the reason why my phone was off all she did was say hush and give me your phone or get suspended. The reason that i got mad was because there were more than five people that i seen that had their phone out, and she didn't bother to take their phone from them. The reason why I don't want this rule put in place is because I fell that students have their cell phones for a reason. Or if the cell phones get taken they should get them back to the students at the end of the day.
